Now that NYFW has come and on, and fashion week continues to move its way around the globe, we have an idea what is going to be big this fall. So what exactly should you make sure to be adding to your closet?
Skirt Suit
There isn’t anything old fashioned or boring about this suit trend. Its updated from previous years with interesting patterns, fabrics and cuts. Also the hem lines stay high, keeping the look ever so youthful (and who doesn’t want to look younger).

We are already starting to see this trend all over street fashion. The new denim look is to take your old denim and reinvent it. Raw hems. Patchwork. It all looks new, and eclectic, and we love it.

S loves skinny jeans. So much, she has a drawer full of them. Em is the opposite. She owns none. No matter what your preference, skinny jeans have been the dominant trend for years, but these days new trends have been popping up in the denim department. Check out some of these trends, and add your favorite to your wardrobe for a fresh look in 2016!
Cropped Flare
This trend was featured in this weeks OOTD. It has been dominating in late 2015, and continues into 2016. Try this great trend with boots this winter, or with fantastic heels as the weather gets warmer. Try these from Nordstrom.

Okay, maybe the cropped look isn’t your thing. Go for actual flares. That’s right, that 70’s vibe is back, so embrace it!

Haven’t embraced this look yet? Do! tuck in your shirt, or pair with a crop top, it can be incredibly more flattering than the ultra low cut that was so popular a few years ago.

Happy Monday! So you’ve probably noticed that denim on denim is popular this season. With temperatures dropping to the 30’s at night and the high only getting into the 50’s this week, we have officially welcomed fall. The leaves are changing, the sweaters are coming out, and fair season has begun. So here’s an idea of how to wear jean on jean, especially if you need an outfit idea to wear to the fair!
First, grab a button down jean shirt. Wear it tucked in, or loose! 
Pair it with a slightly darker wash denim jean. Popular right now are the boyfriend jeans, and the high waisted flair 1970’s jeans. 
And we always love a great shoe, preferably with a heel. So we added a pair of sling back mules to this outfit to give a little height and comfort while out and about. Chunky shoes and mules are in, so pull out those closed toe shoes, fall is upon us!
And, you’ll notice, the ever present bandana is back in this post as well. It’s something to add a little color, its a popular trend that absolutely everyone can wear. So get a little crazy, find a bandana in a color you love, and jazz up your outfit with a little pop of color!

It might be September, but Maine weather is still in the 90’s! How can you incorporate a hit of fall, with out being too hot? Try wearing the trendy front skirt at a longer length, and a flowy summer tank–like this fringed chiffon one.
The metallic structured handbag in a fall color like orange to further tie in the fall trends. Even the cat can’t resist!

I love summer….like really, really, love summer. I never want it to end….I want sun dresses, and gladiator sandals, and cropped tank tops to last forever. Reality is that I live in the Northeast, and fall is lurking at my doorstep. I can already feel a change in the air. While the days and bright, warm and sunny, the evening temperatures are on a steady decline. So while I am going to hold onto my summer wardrobe as long as I possibly can, I know its time to start working some of these trends into my wardrobe.
